Many people see this used every day when watching the weather forecast. Green screen, otherwise known as Chroma key, is a technique for mixing two images together in which green or blue from one image is replaced with another image. The presenter appears to be standing in front of a large map, but in the studio it is actually a large blue or green wall. If the person on camera wears clothes a color similar to key color, his clothes will become replaced with the background video as well. Blue and green are used since they are considered the colors least like skin tone.
The green screen allows for an incredible amount of flexibility and cost savings when shooting your video, presentation, or photo. Virtual sets, photographs, and other videos can be used when producing corporate videos, commercials, and training videos. All of this is done in post production, or after the shoot. But MediaMix is also set up to do live green screen work as well, just like the weather segment of the news. Use this for live presentations, webcasts, and more.
Both of our studios are green screen-ready. We also have a mobile kit for on-location events and projects.
